- 2 cups water (plus more for adjustments) - 2 tsp loose black tea or 2 tea bags - 1 slice fresh ginger (optional) - 2 tsp honey (or to taste) - 2 tsp lemon juice (optional) - 2 whole cloves (optional) (Note: use as many of the optional items as you prefer.)
1. Bring 2 cups water to a gentle boil in a small pot. 2. Add tea, ginger, and cloves if using. 3. Simmer 2–3 minutes (loose tea) or 3–4 minutes (tea bags). 4. Turn off heat and steep 2 minutes for stronger flavor. 5. Strain or remove tea bags and spices. 6. Stir in honey until dissolved. Add lemon juice to taste. 7. Serve hot immediately.
