Make soft, neutral rounds with three pantry staples in 20 minutes.
Ingredients: 250 g all-purpose flour, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp baking powder, plus 160–180 ml water (add by feel) and 1–2 tbsp oil for the pan.
Method: 1) Mix flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl. 2) Gradually add about 160 ml water, mixing to form a soft but not sticky dough; add up to 180 ml if needed. 3) Knead briefly (1–2 minutes) and rest 5 minutes. 4) Divide into 8 equal pieces, flatten into 10 cm rounds about 5 mm thick. 5) Heat a lightly oiled nonstick pan over medium heat and cook each round 4–5 minutes per side until golden.
Tips: Keep rounds thin for even cooking; adjust water for humidity; serve warm with butter, stew or as a sandwich base. Difficulty: 1. Prep 10 min, Cook 10 min.
