Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange bread slices on a sheet, brush with olive oil on both sides, and toast 6–8 minutes, flipping once.
Rub toasted slices with garlic. Season tomato slices with salt and pepper. Top each slice with a tomato piece and a mozzarella slice.
Return to oven 3–4 minutes to soften mozzarella. Top with a basil leaf, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and finish with pepper.
